5 stars is not enough for Robert and his associates, he's dealt with the passing of my father today, running up to the funeral he made dealing with the arrangement's effortless, every need and request has been carried out without haste or hassle and to the highest standard,his professionalism is second to none and his care and compassion he has shown towards the care and handling of my loved one and all our family and friends is outstanding,the service on the day was fantastic,the quality of the coffin,the car and the floral arrangement and the celebrator and overall service was faultless,to all People requiring the very best service and care I wholeheartedly recommend Robert!

From the day we asked Robert to take care of the Funeral for our beloved Stuart which took place on the 30th of April, we were shown the utmost care, professionalism and attention to detail.
It was important to us to be able to visit Stuart prior to his Funeral and Robert provided the most beautiful space for us to say our goodbyes and stay as long as we wanted.
The Funeral day itself was perfect. Robert`s Eulogy completely summed up Stuart`s life - it was as though Robert had known Stuart for years although they had never met. The mixture of music, prayer and warm humour would have made Stuart so proud.
Thank you Robert and your team for making an awful day so much easier - we will never forget your compassion and care and will highly recommend your services.

Robert recently arranged the funeral and home burial of our Mum.

Mum died at home.
From then, all the arrangements were conducted in a very respectful and professional manner.
Robert knew Mum personally and is also a family friend, this was evident by the very nature of her ceremony. We, the family, asked for a celebration of Mum. Robert filled her eulogy with tales of her past, humour and reflections of her remarkable life as our mother.
Four years and two days prior to Mums funeral, Robert arranged Dad’s funeral, this too was a very special day that we all remember fondly.

Thank you Robert and Village Undertakers.
The funerals you arranged for both of our parents were wonderful.

The personal services provided by Robert were outstanding. From the first phone call, our meetings with him and our final farewells, Robert explained everything so well.

We cannot thank Robert enough for the kindness and care he showed while looking after my grandad’s funeral. From the very beginning he took the time to meet with us a couple of times, really listening and getting to know who my grandad was as a person, which made the service so personal and special. On the day, Robert was so attentive and ensured everything ran smoothly, which gave us great comfort. His compassion and professionalism made a very difficult time so much easier, and we are so grateful.

Outstanding personal service provided by Robert Waddington’s Village Undertakers from the first phone call to them when my daughter passed on to the follow up after the funeral service and cremation.
Robert explained everything step by step and was always available to answer any questions and enquiries he walked with us all the way through the funeral process
If you want an undertaker who takes time and provides those important personal touches in the saddest time for the family I recommend Village Undertaker

My family and I can't express our gratitude enough for the exceptional service provided by Robert and his team at Village Undertakers. During a very difficult time for us, they showed incredible compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

From the initial consultation to the final farewell, every step was handled with the utmost care and respect. Robert listened to our wishes and tailored the service to perfectly honour my Dad. His empathy and support made a difficult process so much more bearable.

The arrangements were impeccable, and the ceremony was beautifully organised, with little touches that meant so much to us. Every aspect, from the floral arrangements to the sidecar hearse, exceeded our expectations. Village undertakers (Robert) provided an excellent service, Robert dealt with everything in a very professional manner from the moment mum passed away right through to organizing the wake. The Coffin, flowers, the service at the Crematorium were second to none, all done with the respect and professionalism that was required but also with a very calm and respectful atmosphere.

Highly recommended.
Robert dealt with the funeral arrangements for my mum in a professional but personal manner.

Nothing was too much trouble - he was always available to answer any questions and visited us at times convenient for all of the family.

He made a very difficult day so much easier for everyone concerned. The service ran like clockwork. The eulogy was sensitive but very humorous in the right places. People thought he knew my mum personally as he spoke so knowingly about her just from what we had told him.

We even had people at the wake saying they want Robert to do their funerals and eulogies when the “time comes”. That just says it all !!!!

I could not recommend Robert highly enough.

Not only did he help us plan and execute a bespoke home burial for my fiancé’s late grandad he did it with a compassion, professionalism and genuine kindness that is hard to find.

Robert from Village Undertakers organised and conducted my dad’s funeral which included a home burial. He could not have been more helpful & he made a very difficult time, easier for us all. Everything was handled very professionally and everything went perfectly on the day. We can not thank Robert enough, for all his help and kindness throughout. Robert conducted the funeral for my partners late Grandfather, I honestly cannot recommend him enough, he was professional whilst also being personal and he also has the ability to make you see the lighter side even in such bad circumstances.

He will have been proud of the send off you put together for him, Thanks again Robert.

I highly recommend Robert for all your funeral needs. He has just organised the funeral of a family member and the service we received was fantastic. At a time when you are upset and stressed, Robert made the funeral process easy and simply took care of everything for us. He also took the service which was excellent and although he didn't know our family member he pitched it just right and it was both sensitive and light and a fitting tribute to her. Throughout the process Robert took the time to listen to our stories af our family member and explain what would happen at every step. This is the kind of service you only get from a local family run business and I would really recommend him to all.

Village Undertakers previously arranged the funeral for my Grandad and, more recently, my Grandma. Both were organised with care and understanding. We were listened to throughout the planning, and felt the services were spot on - the perfect send off. Robert thinks about the things you might not consider, and guides you through the whole process compassionately.
